Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Supervise students during the school day, including lunchroom, bus, and playground.
• Report special needs or problems of individual students to the teacher.
• Participate in staff development training programs and attend faculty meetings.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
