Job summary

Wyoming County Board of Education is seeking a dedicated Aide to support classroom activities across various grades. The role involves lifting and assisting students, supervising buses when needed, and aiding instructional delivery and extracurricular programs.

The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, hold a High School Diploma or GED, and pass the WVDE competency test. The position runs for 200 days, with duties assigned by school leadership and Special Education leadership as

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must pass the competency test for Aide per WVDE.

Responsibilities

Be physically able to lift and assist students as needed.
Provide bus supervision when required.
Aid in classroom teaching including planning and general instruction; participate in extracurricular activities.
Assist with instruction for students based on individual needs, including care needs as described.
Support teachers by working with students in small groups or one-to-one.
Provide general assistance to students assigned to the classroom.
Prepare instructional materials as outlined by the teacher.
Perform other duties assigned by principal or district leadership.
