Job summary

Maine School Administrative District No. 27 is seeking a Special Education Educational Technician I, II or III to provide instructional and behavioral support under a certified teacher.

You will assist with classroom management, implement educational plans, and support diverse learners across settings. Ideal candidates bring Ed Tech Level 1–2 credentials, strong communication, and a willingness to complete required trainings.

Qualifications

• Ed Tech Level 1 credential is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ed Tech Level 2 credential.
• Two years post-secondary education or 60 hours in education-related field.
• Ed Tech Level 3 preferred.
• Three years post-secondary education or 90 hours in education-related field.
• Knowledge of learning processes, especially in math and reading.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan for, and instruct small groups away from the main classroom.
• Support students with special needs following IEPs or behavioral plans.
• Monitor behavior and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Assist in data collection and progress documentation.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, recess and lunch areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
