Job summary

Framingham Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Aide for the Developmental/Intellectual Impairment Program at Framingham High School Learning Center. You will work under a certified teacher to support students with disabilities in a smaller learning environment.

The role emphasizes developing cognitive, communication, social, and self-help skills, with modifications as needed to maximize learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
• Training related to autism, development delays or related fields desirable.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and supervision of students with disabilities under direction of teachers.
• Support students with IEPs and social/academic goals in inclusive or separate settings.
• Assist with assessments and standardized testing administration.
• Follow crisis management and safety procedures as needed.
