Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an exceptional children teacher to implement effective teaching strategies aligned to IEPs and curriculum under moderate supervision. The role develops lesson plans and delivers group and individual instruction to help EC students reach academic goals.

The teacher collaborates with administrators and educators to create an inclusive environment, follows crisis procedures, administers IEPs and testing, and uses data to measure progress towards goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in education preferred.
• Valid NC Teaching license required.
• Experience with IEPs and related instructional planning.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with administration and other educators to create an inclusive educational environment.
• Follow established school procedures for crisis or emergency situations.
• Administer and interpret individual educational testing and data.
• Utilize data to monitor progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned to IEPs and curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet students' academic and behavioral needs.
