Job summary

The Brandywine School in West Chester, PA, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, seeks Teacher Assistants to provide direct behavioral intervention to students in a supportive, educational setting.

Position is year-long with Monday–Friday 8am–4pm scheduling; salary range $41,600–$47,424 annually, depending on experience. Includes training opportunities and benefits eligibility after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Special Education preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.
• Must be 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety
• Establish learning environments conducive to maximum learning and guide students to socially appropriate behaviors
• Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives
