LEARN Academy in Phelan, CA is seeking a Special Education Teacher with Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe credentials. The role focuses on individualized instruction, IEP development, and collaboration with families and school teams to support diverse learners.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, a 10-month salary structure with 12-month pay, and opportunities for supervision in internships and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field.
• Valid Arizona Special Education Credential (or enrolled in a program for certification).
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, OR an intern student currently in a special education program.
• Autism-specific or related certificate preferred – will be accepted if paired with another teaching credential.
• Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe teaching certification
• Must be able to assume a variety of postures for extended periods and implement safety measures per PCMA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student IEPs and design and provide SDI.
• Administer instructional activities that promote a positive climate and meaningful learning.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources for diverse needs.
• Assist in assessing curricular needs and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, Clinical Specialists, and Administrators.
