Job summary

Freehold Borough Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for Park Avenue Elementary School on a leave replacement basis, serving 3rd-5th grade. Immediate start with date available and provisional terms.

The role requires NJ Certification for Teacher of Students with Disabilities and a K-6th certification, with 2 years of elementary SPED experience, in-class and pull-out experience, and strong collaboration with general education staff. Salary is prorated.

Qualifications

• Two years teaching experience with strong knowledge of NJ Teaching Standards.
• Experience in elementary special education settings (in class, pull out, self-contained).
• Experience developing programming and student goals using evidence-based learning strategies.
• Experience writing IEP goals and progress reports, with LRE and related services understanding.

Requirements:

• Experience with developing programming and development of student programs for evidence based learning strategies
• Experience in developing IEP goals and objectives, modified curriculum needs and behavioral supports within the classroom setting (behavior plans, reward systems, reinforcement strategies and classroom management)
• Understanding of Special Education programs, modifications, and accommodations
• Knowledge and experience with IEP writing, progress report writing, LRE and related services within the school setting
• Demonstrate strong speaking, writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Work cooperatively with subject area teachers

Salary:

Salary Guide Step 1: BA $58,197 MA $60,613 MA+30 $63,029
