Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Special Education or equivalent, PA Special Education certification, and experience supporting autistic or emotionally challenged students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or equivalent with 18 credits in special education and 6 credits in education theory.
• PA Special Education certificate or PA Private Academic certification with ability to attain public certification within a reasonable time from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in an individualized program to empower students.
• Design, supervise and implement students' IEP plans.
• Create and coordinate student schedules with related services and general education.
• Collect and analyze student data and monitor progress.
• Coordinate services with a large team of professionals.
• Participate in staff development focusing on students with Autism.
• Implement strategies to work effectively with students with Autism.
