Job summary

Fort Bend ISD seeks a Teacher Special Education Resource In-Class Support Co-Teach for elementary school. You will provide instruction in academic, behavioral, social, and self-care skills to students with disabilities in collaboration with general education staff.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing IEP goals, using data to monitor progress, applying assistive technology, and maintaining compliance with ARD and TEKS. This role is based in Texas and requires appropriate certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas teaching certification for the assignment or eligible.
• Valid EC-12 Special Education certification (or Special Education Specialist).
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on student needs.
• Excellent communication with students, peers and parents.
• Knowledge of TEKS and IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students with varying disabilities using accommodations and modifications in the least restrictive environment.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned to IEP goals and TEKS, with assessments and progress monitoring.
• Use data collection to document student progress and adjust instructional plans.
• Implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology as recommended by ARD.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support IEPs and related goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete ARD paperwork and requirements.
