Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support students in Newtown Square, PA for the 2026–2027 school year. You will work one-on-one or in small groups to develop academic, behavioral, social, and life skills, assisting teachers with individualized plans and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

The role involves aiding daily routines, transitions, and personal care as per each student’s program, collaborating with staff to promote growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience supporting children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Current CPR certification required; ability to complete all required training.
• FBI Fingerprints on file or to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering academic, behavioral, social, and life skills development.
• Assist teachers with implementing individualized education and behavior support plans while promoting a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with daily routines, classroom activities, communication, transitions, and personal care needs per each student's program.
• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary staff to encourage student growth and reinforce positive behaviors.
