Job summary

Tooele County School District is hiring a paraprofessional for Special Education Mild/Moderate at Stansbury Jr. High School. Under supervision of certified staff, you will assist students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and support inclusion.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, materials prep, record-keeping, and supervision during meals and field trips, with emphasis on IEP objectives and student safety. 21+ and a high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age; prior experience with special needs children desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and other skills.
• Support students individually and in small groups as directed by certified staff.
• Assist with classroom materials, record-keeping, and supervision during meals, bus duty, and field trips.
• Contribute to IEP processes and support student inclusion and daily living activities.
