Cedars International Academy Pre-K4-8th Grade Campus in Austin, Texas is seeking a Paraprofessional/Teaching Assistant to provide support in Special Education for Pre-K4 through 12th grade. The role is nonexempt and reports to the Principal, SPED Coordinator, and assigned teachers.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a Texas Educational Aide certificate (or college degree substitution), and Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Texas Educational Aide Certificate preferred.
• A college degree may substitute for the Paraprofessional certificate.
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills preferred for better support of students.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized instruction under the direction of Special Education Teachers for core subjects.
• Assist with instructional materials preparation and classroom displays.
• Help with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with equipment care.
• Keep accurate administrative records of service times, progress, and attendance.
