Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas invites you to join our team as a Special Education Paraprofessional, supporting students with disabilities in inclusive classrooms. You’ll work alongside teachers to implement IEPs, reinforce learning, and promote independence.

Ideal candidates are patient, dependable and able to follow teacher directions, with a high school diploma and a willingness to meet TEA requirements. CPR/First Aid is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or an associate degree preferred.
• Experience with children, students with disabilities, or in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to meet TEA and district requirements for paraprofessional employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individualized education programs (IEPs) by implementing accommodations and instructional strategies.
• Provide academic support in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce classroom instruction.
• Support inclusion in general education and other settings based on student needs.
• Assist with behavior intervention plans and classroom expectations under certified staff guidance.
• Monitor student progress and document observations for the team.
• Assist with daily living skills as needed while maintaining student dignity and privacy.
• Encourage independence and student self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and staff to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with policies.
