Job summary

Jeffco Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional - Spec Ed Build Support at Creighton Middle School in Jefferson County, Colorado. This hourly position supports students with disabilities under the direction of a special education teacher and building administrator.

The role involves implementing lesson plans, assisting with IEPs, and providing behavioral support in a classroom setting with students who need targeted interventions. Training provided by the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; paraprofessional training offered.
• No experience required; preferred one year of related work in a K-12 setting.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills; basic language, math and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with implementing lesson plans and keeping classroom organized.
• Perform clerical tasks and help with attendance and data collection.
• Assist with lunch/recess/bus duties and supervise in cafeteria/playground.
• Attend trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
