Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe education needs under licensed staff. The role includes adapting curriculum for individuals and small groups, maintaining progress records, and assisting with materials and tests.

In both in-person and remote settings, you will reinforce behavior strategies, monitor progress, and support technology use. A HSE diploma is required; Crisis Prevention Intervention training is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• HSE diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments require higher education or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Medication administration training as needed.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups.
• If in DHH/Homebound, ability to support related needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities and adapt curriculum for individuals and small groups.
• Maintain records of progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials, assist with tests and classroom events.
• Provide digital and in-person support for online learning.
• Assist with medication delivery orders under supervision.
• Support de-escalation and safe classroom management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
