Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe disabilities under licensed staff. You will assist with curriculum adaptations, monitor progress, and help implement behavior strategies in both in-person and remote settings.

You will prepare instructional materials, assist with IEPs, and provide technical care and classroom support to ensure a safe, hygienic learning environment.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Must meet Title I requirements: two years of college or an associate degree or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work alone and with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance, and related paperwork.
• Support online learning tasks and technology troubleshooting.
• Follow safety and confidentiality guidelines in all assignments.
