Job summary

ResponsiveEd’s K-5 Life Skills Instructional Aide position supports the Special Education teacher in serving students with diverse needs at Quest Collegiate Academy of Shenandoah, TX. The role emphasizes collaboration with therapists and campus staff to implement IEPs and ensure compliant student progress reporting.

Starting date is immediate. This is a full-time hourly role with a salary of $15 to $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED holder.
• Experience working with students or parents preferred.
• Three years as Educational Aide I/II or 30 college credits with child development emphasis or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development of students under teacher guidance.
• Support implementation of IEPs and monitor student progress.
• Provide support inside and outside classroom to enable participation.
• Assist in ARD meetings and REED/IEP evaluations ensuring timelines.
• Maintain student records and communicate with parents and staff.
• Help prepare materials, schedules, and assessments; support behavior management.
