Job summary

Lexington County School District One at Lexington Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained) to develop and implement individualized education programs and provide instruction to students with disabilities.

Under the supervision of the Principal, you will design engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and collaborate with staff, families, and related services to foster independence and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related area; student teaching experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable to meet required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements IEPs and instruction for students with disabilities.
• Maintains safe, positive learning environments and manages classroom behavior.
• Collaborates with teachers, parents, and related services to support student progress.
• Administers progress monitoring and uses data to inform instructional decisions.

Education
