Job summary

ROBERT FROST ELEMENTARY in Silverton, Oregon seeks two Instructional Assistant II (FSC) to support students with diverse needs in structured and specialized settings. The roles emphasize inclusive education, collaboration with licensed staff, and direct instructional support across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or 2 years of college coursework, or ability to pass district assessment.
• Two years of experience in special education or supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support individualized instruction and behavior plans for students in special programs.
• Assist with designing instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
• Deliver or support academic and functional instruction in small groups.
• Assist with IEPs and participate in IEP meetings.
• Provide instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support across environments.
• Support student transition and job coaching activities in community/work settings.
• Supervise students and ensure safety and engagement.
• Assist with behavior support and de-escalation when required.
• Provide personal care support per student plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with district, state, federal requirements.
