Job summary

Walton County GA Transportation in Monroe, GA is seeking a dedicated Bus Monitor - Special Ed to support transportation for students, assist during loading/unloading, and ensure safety on the bus.

Responsibilities include supervising behavior, assisting with CPR/First Aid training, operating wheelchair lifts, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing incident reports. This is a full-time role with standard department meetings and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Successful experience in job related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists special education students and other passengers with safe loading/unloading from buses.
• Monitors behavior during transit to ensure safe transportation for all passengers.
• Attends CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse training; provides first aid as needed.
• Secures students and equipment and operates wheelchair lift, ensuring safety.
• Cleans the inside of the bus to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Prepares incident, attendance, and misconduct reports for record-keeping.
• Attends required department meetings.
• Performs other related duties for efficient unit operation.
