Overall Purpose
To provide support within the student transportation services area with specific responsibilities for assisting special education students during the transport to and from school and/or special activities; ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses; and ensuring the safety and sanitation of assigned vehicles.
Essential Functions
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
Successful experience in job related area preferred.
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects or individuals. In an emergency, worker may be required to restrain a physically active individual as a temporary safety precaution. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
