Job summary

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to assist with loading/unloading wheelchairs and strollers.
• Willing to undergo fingerprinting and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver on scheduled routes and trips to support district activities.
• Maintain control of student passengers and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Provide assistance to students with special needs and wheelchair loading/seatbelting.
• Operate bus elevator lifts and apply restraints on wheelchairs as needed.
• Attend transportation meetings and participate in district committees as required.
