Qualifications

• CPR/First aid certificate required or able to obtain.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attendance and punctuality are important in this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist bus driver in emergencies until the driver takes over.
• Provide clear directions to all student stops when regular driver is absent.
• Assist special education students and other passengers with safe loading and unloading.
• Monitor students with special needs for safe transportation.
• Prepare reports for assignments, incidents, and misconduct.
• Report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Secure students and equipment for safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; wear gloves when dealing with body fluids.
• Attend safety meetings and trainings.
• Support other personnel as needed.
• Perform split shifts and varied hours depending on route.
