Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools seeks a Special Ed Support & Classroom Aide for Wyandot in Clinton Township, MI. You will assist the teacher and students, help with reading, writing, math, life skills, and manage behavior per PBSP/IEP plans.

This role requires interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability, with CPI training provided. Position is full-time with a schedule 8:05am-2:50pm and pay $17.75 to $18.04 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with CPI or willingness to train in CPI is required.
• Candidate should have basic computer skills and be able to follow school policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist one-on-one or in small groups under teacher direction.
• Support instructional activities such as reading, writing, math and life skills.
• Monitor and redirect student behavior per PBSP/IEP accommodations.
• Assist with personal care tasks and data collection related to behavior and academics.
• Engage in CPI training and communicate with staff, students, and community.
