Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools is seeking a Special Ed Support & Classroom Aide-Ojibwa to assist the teacher and students in a safe, supportive environment. This role supports instruction and behavior management, including data collection and participation in CPI training.

The position runs 6.5 hours daily (8:55am - 3:55pm) with a pay rate of $17.75 to $18.04 per hour and is a new full-time role starting immediately.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• May require CPI training and ongoing CPI refresher courses.
• Experience with special education students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist one-on-one, small groups or classroom with students under teacher supervision.
• Assist teacher with completing academic tasks.
• Engage students with instructional activities such as reading, writing, math and life skills.
• Support behavior management strategies and implementations of PBSP/IEP accommodations.
• Monitor and redirect student behaviors and assist with personal needs as required.
• Assist in data collection related to behavior and academics; participate in CPI training.
