Job summary

CHOC is seeking a registered nurse to join a new Special Delivery Unit, focused on high-risk obstetric care. This role involves some call shifts and supports triage, LDRP, and OR activities within the SDU.

You will help ensure high-quality care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum settings. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in Labor & Delivery, hold a California RN license, and possess or be willing to obtain required certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, fetal monitoring).

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• RN license required; BLS, NRP, ACLS and obstetric fetal monitoring credentials typically required.

Responsibilities

• Support in Special Delivery Unit (SDU) including triage, LDRP, and ORs.
• Assist in operating room and delivery room as needed within scope of practice.
• Ensure quality care per policies and procedures; support patient flow and unit operations.
