The role requires 5+ years in special assets, formal credit training, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and active NMLS registration. You will negotiate with borrowers and attorneys, analyze credits, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years of direct special assets experience.
• Formal credit training required.
• Active NMLS registration or ability to obtain it.
• Knowledge of collateral valuation/liquidation and loan policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop collection strategies and action plans for complex commercial loans.
• Prepare analyses and provide recommendations on collection and action plans.
• Negotiate repayment terms with borrowers and attorneys.
• Implement recovery plans to minimize risk and losses.
• Provide reporting to Special Assets Manager and other stakeholders.
• Interact with lawyers and outside professionals to advance the bank’s agenda.
• Minimize legal and non-legal expenses while maximizing recoveries.
• Ensure BSA compliance.
