Job summary

The State of California - Department of Justice is seeking a Special Agent to join the Facilities Enforcement Team within the DMFEA. The SA will conduct complex criminal and civil investigations relating to fraud, abuse, and neglect in California care facilities, including nursing homes, with potential travel statewide.

Under the direction of a Special Agent Supervisor or Special Agent In-Charge, the SA will work independently or as part of a team, emphasizing community interaction and

Qualifications

• Experience conducting complex fraud, tax or health/quality of care investigations.
• Experience in preparing and serving search warrants.
• Knowledge of the California Penal Code, Welfare and Institutions Code, Health and Safety Code, and Insurance Code.
• POST Basic Certificate or POST SIBC Certificate (preferred).

Responsibilities
