Job summary

The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT is seeking full-time Sterile Processing Technicians to join our day and evening teams. You will help ensure sterile instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, inspected, assembled and sterilized to support safe surgeries.

No prior Sterile Processing experience is required, with 8–10 weeks of orientation on day or evening shift, followed by ongoing training and opportunities to grow within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST certification required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble and sterilize instruments and equipment to support patient care.
• Maintain strict adherence to detailed processes and quality standards.
• Support OR teams by providing sterile supplies as needed.
• Complete orientation and training on day/evening shifts and grow within the department.

$22.28/hour | 24/7 operation with shifts including 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.

Sterile Processing Technicians play an important role in patient safety and surgical care, ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, inspected, assembled and sterilized so our OR teams have what they need for every procedure.

We're hiring 3 full-time Sterile Processing Technicians to start November 23, over day and evening shifts, and previous Sterile Processing experience is not required.
