Baystate Medical Center is seeking a Service Coordinator - Sterile Processing for the night shift (10pm-6:30am), full-time. The role leads Sterile Processing operations, mentors technicians, ensures compliance with AAMI/OSHA standards, and collaborates with OR leadership to optimize workflow.
You will oversee decontamination, sterilization, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on quality improvement and staff education. AAMI standards knowledge and clinical leadership are essential.
Position Summary Baystate Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Coordinator - Sterile Processing to join our team. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), night shift position. The Service Coordinator meets and exceeds the competencies of Sterile Processing Technician Levels I, II, and III. This role demonstrates expert knowledge and application of Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards and serves as a clinical and operational leader within the department. The Coordinator provides mentorship and education to technicians, functions in the charge role as needed, and actively participates in quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives aligned with Baystate Health’s mission and standards. This role maintains working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements including: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) The Joint Commission (JC) Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Key Responsibilities

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
