Job summary

The Ang Lab at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai seeks an associate researcher to develop spatial omics, imaging, and stem cell biology tools to study cellular plasticity in health and disease. You will collaborate on integrating imaging with genome editing and screening methods and contribute to publications.

Ideal candidates have a background in bioengineering, biophysics, stem cell biology, chemistry, or related fields with 0–2 years of lab experience and familiarity with tissue

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred; combination of education and relevant experience acceptable.
  • 0–2 years of research experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience with tissue culture, molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, conducts routine and standardized experiments using appropriate research techniques specific to subject matter of the project.
  • Analyzes and assists in interpreting laboratory results.
  • Performs assays to support research studies.
  • Maintains laboratory environment and assists in inventory; may order supplies.
  • Logs and tests samples; prepares and submits materials for shipment.
  • Assists in collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
  • Performs other related duties.
