Job summary

The SPARK Pre-School Program in Des Plaines School District 62 is seeking an early-childhood educator to work with pre-school students during the hours of 8:30-4:00.

The SPARK Pre-School Program supports 3-4 year olds' social, academic, language and motor development, preparing them for kindergarten, with collaboration among staff and ongoing professional workshops.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be highly qualified; experience working in a pre-school setting preferred.
• Applicants must have 60 semester hrs early childhood college coursework.
• Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.

Responsibilities

• Work with Pre-school staff to provide instructional support for meeting the Early Learning Standards.
• Work with Pre-school staff as a collaborative member of the instructional team.
• Attend workshops and instructional meetings as necessary or assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building director.

Job Summary

The SPARK Pre-School Program is a program designed to provide positive beginning school experience for the 3-4 year old child. This programs supports students social, academic, language and fine/gross motor development and prepares them with skills they need to be successful in kindergarten.

• Work with Pre-school staff to provide instructional support for meeting the Early Learning Standards.
• Work with Pre-school staff as a collaborative member of the instructional team.
• Attend workshops and instructional meetings as necessary or assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building director.

Compensation Information

The position starting salary is $17.00 per hour including fully paid individual health benefits.
