Job summary

SKAN US, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Spare Parts Technical Specialist to join our onsite team.

You will prepare quotations for spare parts, manage order dispatch, and proactively engage customers to improve satisfaction and identify new sales opportunities. The role requires familiarity with SAP material management and sales transactions, combined with a proactive, energetic approach and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• First experience in dealing directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of quotations for spare parts based on customer requests.
• Prioritization and initiation of the dispatch of spare parts orders.
• Proactive contact with customers, to query and increase satisfaction as well as to generate possible sales opportunities.
• Identification of stock materials and definition of safety stocks for these stock items based on expected sales.
• Promote contracts for spare parts packages.
• Regular availability check of poorly available spare parts and active exchange with other departments to prioritize the use of these parts.

SKAN US, Inc., a world leader in pharmaceutical isolators, based in Raleigh, NC is accepting applications for the position of Spare Parts Technical Specialist. This position is onsite based out of our Raleigh SKAN US facility. The position reports to the Inside Service Operations Manager.

SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.

Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, sales, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.

Function Specific Tasks

• Preparation of quotations for spare parts based on customer requests
• Prioritization and initiation of the dispatch of spare parts orders
• Proactive contact with customers, to query and increase satisfaction as well as to generate possible sales opportunities
• Identification of stock materials and definition of safety stocks for these stock items based on expected sales
• Promote contracts for spare parts packages
• Regular availability check of poorly available spare parts and active exchange with other departments to prioritize the use of these parts
• Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000
