Job summary

JBT Marel Corporation is seeking a Spare Parts Specialist in Chalfont, PA to support the Formova Division. You will process orders, liaise with logistics, and maintain accurate ERP records while coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders with customers to meet revenue goals.

• Manage purchase orders in Sales Force and Sytline 9 ERP; create reports on spare part activities.
• Update SharePoint with in-process work and document issues/resolutions.
• Maintain professional written and verbal communication with customers.
• Handle high volumes of requests with problem-solving to manage issues in customer support.
• Record spare parts transactions in ERP/inventory systems and ensure data quality.
• Provide status updates to customers and coordinate with internal teams to prevent blockers.

As our Spare Parts Specialist for the Spare Parts department, you will report to the Customer Support Manager.

In this role you will support the Formova Division within JBT Marel and is located in Chalfont, PA (45 minutes from Philadelphia, PA)

On Any Given Day You Will

• Works with customers – process Purchase orders, manage issues to meet revenue goals.
• Work with shipping and purchasing to ensure that shipments times are meant. Answering emails from customers regarding spare parts requests.
• Work within Sales Force, Sytline 9 ERP, and excel to manage purchase orders for spare parts.
• Create reporting on spare part activities.
• Update Team SharePoint with work in process and document issues and resolutions.
• Must maintain a professional communication style in written and verbal exchanges with customers.
• Must manage a high volume of requests and apply critical thinking/problem solving strategies to manage any issues within dedicated customer support.
• Processes transactional exceptions by applying defined rules and seeking approvals where required; escalates complex issues appropriately.
• Maintains and updates records of spare parts transactions in ERP/inventory systems, ensuring data quality, traceability, and correct documentation.
• Communicates proactively with customers to confirm requirements, provide status updates, set expectations on lead times/availability, and prevent rework. Coordinates with internal teams (logistics, warehouse, planning, procurement, service, sales) to remove blockers and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Supports routine reporting (e.g., open orders/returns, backorders, expedite lists) and provides case summaries or follow‑ups as directed.
• Supports inventory control activities, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation, and flags data issues such as obsolete codes or substitutions to relevant owners.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities, suggesting updates to templates, item master data, and process steps to improve accuracy and cycle time. Participates in training programs to develop technical and customer service skills. Shares practical tips and know‑how with junior colleagues and assists with routine questions, supporting peer learning.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintains a customer‑focused approach balancing responsiveness with accuracy and commercial rules.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a role as operational buyer, planner or in an MRP environment Proficient in using systems to track orders, data, customer informationExperience interpreting data and making business recommendations
