Job summary

The Preuss School UC San Diego seeks qualified Spanish teachers to join our applicant pool for anticipated openings in the 2026/2027 school year. Under the supervision of the Principal, The Preuss School World Language Spanish teachers will provide instruction, encourage student progress, and manage the learning environment.

Teach content and skills in subject matter, utilizing courses of study adopted by the California State Curriculum Standards as guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish or equivalent.
• Active California teaching credential or NASDTEC-recognized credential.
• EL/CLAD or CLAD or equivalent authorization required.
• At least 1 year of credentialed Spanish teaching experience.
• Experience teaching underserved students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Spanish and monitor student progress.
• Create and implement lessons aligned to California standards.
• Establish and maintain a positive, orderly learning environment.
• Assess student learning using varied methods and adjust instruction accordingly.
