The Preuss School UC San Diego is seeking qualified English Language Development (ELD) teachers to join our applicant pool for anticipated openings in the 2026/2027 school year.

The Preuss School at UC San Diego is a charter middle and high school focused on a rigorous college prep education for low-income scholars who will be the first in their families to graduate from college. This role requires developing and maintaining high expectations and standards for college-ready instruction.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California teaching credential or NASDTEC reciprocal credential.
• Experience teaching English Language Development to diverse learners.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver standards-aligned ELD instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment.
• Deliver curriculum aligned to grade level standards and analyze assessment data to differentiate re-teaching.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure appropriate support for all scholars.
• Use varied assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
