Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies, History, International Studies, Political Science, or Social Science.
• Current Single Subject CTC Credential in Social Science, or the same credential from states that are NASDTEC members.
• ELA/ELAS/CLAD or CLAD Certificate or equivalent authorization from out-of-state.

Responsibilities

• Teach content and skills in social studies following California State Curriculum Standards.
• Adapt subject material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that challenge students.
• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to positive teacher/student relations and appropriate supervision.
• Use a variety of assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress and guide instructional decisions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies, History, International Studies, Political Science, or Social Science
