Job summary

Educator’s Ally is seeking Upper School language teachers (French OR Spanish) for the 2026-27 academic year to support independent day and boarding schools across the U.S.

Successful candidates will bring strong classroom practice, engage adolescents, and contribute to a collaborative department focused on inquiry-driven instruction and inclusive teaching. BA or MA preferred, private school experience a plus, and strong writing skills are valued.

Qualifications

• BA, Masters Degree is preferred
• Previous experience teaching in a school setting; private school experience a plus
• Experience teaching the reading and analysis of texts from a broad range of genres and voices
• Strong writing skills and enthusiasm for teaching writing
• Success running discussion-centered classes or facilitating inquiry-driven discussions
• Interest in and demonstrated skill working with adolescents
• Demonstrated multicultural competency and commitment to inclusivity
• Providing regular feedback to students that enables growth and addresses needs for improvement.

• Collaborating with colleagues both within and outside of the department to enhance professional development and continued growth.
