Job summary

Violence Intervention Program (VIP) in New York City is hiring a Social Worker (Spanish Speaking) for the Sexual Violence Program. Hybrid-citywide location, reporting to the Manager of Sexual Violence Program, 35 hours weekly with a pay rate of $65,000 per year.

The role provides short-term counseling, trauma-informed services, and community-based education for Latina/o/x survivors, many immigrants. The Social Worker collaborates with a Project Manager, counselors, and survivors to tailor

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field required.
• LMHC, LMSW, or other clinical license required within the first year of hire.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written & verbal) required.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical expansion of sexual violence programming and improve service delivery.
• Co-facilitate group counseling for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
• Recruit and coordinate clients for group healing sessions across VIP programs.
• Provide short-term individual trauma-informed clinical services and safety planning.
