Job summary

Salina Family Healthcare Center is seeking an Interpreter to provide Spanish interpretation for patient care and translate forms as needed. The role may involve direct patient care duties when appropriate and requires fluency in Spanish with strong English communication.

The interpreter will translate medical information between staff and patients, help schedule appointments for Spanish-speaking patients, and work with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CPR certification preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; ability to translate forms from English to Spanish.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain patient-focused care.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Spanish interpretation for patient care needs.
• Translate medical information accurately between providers and patients.
• Translate forms from English to Spanish as requested.
• Assist with scheduling appointments/referrals for Spanish-speaking patients.
• Collaborate with clinical team to promote continuity of care.
• May assist with basic Medical Assisting duties as needed.
