Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a Spanish-speaking Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision. The role focuses on developing language, communication, social, and school readiness skills for children on the autism spectrum.

The candidate must hold RBT certification or be willing to complete training and pass the competency exam within 45 days. Background checks and CPR/First Aid may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to participate in a background check.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test if not done in the past year.
• Must be physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and movement.
• Reliable and able to attend all scheduled therapy sessions.
• Professional presentation and conduct required.
• Patience to help clients stay on task.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and document data.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy under supervision.
• Follow behavior protocols and data collection per treatment plan.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training.
• Maintain timely documentation and progress notes.
• Communicate progress to parents as directed.
• Report safety concerns and incidents.
• Keep therapy areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist BCBA/BC in materials and assessments.
