Job summary

Village Charter School is seeking a Para-Professional/Classroom Aide to support the K-8 Spanish program. This role includes assisting with curriculum delivery, small group instruction, and data-informed student support.

The position is 10-month, full-time with a board-approved salary and stipend opportunities ranging from $2,000-$4,000 for eligible candidates. Candidates should have an Associate's degree or 60 college credits, or demonstrate instructional ability, plus NJ background checks and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 60 semester hours or equivalent demonstrated instructional ability.
• NJ Instructional Aide Certificate or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and health clearances per NJ law.
• Bilingual abilities preferred depending on population needs.
• Experience in K-12 settings or para-professional work is preferred.
• Experience with educational assessment tools and data management is a plus.
• Ability to follow scripted lesson guidance and implementation protocols with fidelity.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in planning and implementing curriculum-aligned instruction.
• Support small group and individual instruction in reading, writing, math and other subjects.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with lesson delivery under teacher supervision and use of educational technology.
• Document student progress and communicate observations to supervising teacher.
