Independent contractor role with no guaranteed hours; candidates must travel to assignments and meet minimum credentialing standards.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
Ability to provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.
Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
Basic computer and technology proficiency.
Ability to reliably travel to and from accepted onsite assignments.
Immunization requirements may apply per client/location.
Background, security, fingerprinting, and/or drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish during onsite assignments.
Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, and healthcare professionals.
