Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish at Advanced level per ACTFL.
• English language proficiency for parent communication.
• Experience with immersion teaching methods (TPR) in immersion programs.
• Ability to develop and adapt lessons to district curriculum.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate native or near native fluency in Spanish.
• Demonstrate English language proficiency for parent communication.
• Teach using immersion strategies and TPR.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and adapt for student needs.
• Translate lesson plans into engaging learning experiences.
• Maintain classroom standards to ensure an effective learning environment.
• Assess and report on student progress and communication with families.
• Identify student needs and refer for supports as needed.
• Communicate with parents through Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, and conferences.
• Collaborate with staff and administrators to support student success.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Integrate technology into instruction.
