Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center is seeking a Grade 3 Spanish Immersion Long Term Sub Teacher for 1.0 FTE from 2/9/27 to 6/9/27. This position requires Minnesota K-6 or 1-6 licensure and native or near-native Spanish fluency with Advanced ACTFL proficiency.

Qualifications

• Licensed for Minnesota K-6 or 1-6 elementary education.
• Native or near native fluency in Spanish with Advanced ACTFL rating.
• Ability to translate lesson plans into engaging lessons for immersion.
• Proficiency using classroom technology in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate native or near native fluency in Spanish and communicate with parents.
• Apply Total Physical Response methods in an immersion program.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to District curricula for individual needs.
• Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establish standards of pupil behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Evaluate student growth and prepare progress reports.
• Identify pupil needs and refer for additional supports as needed.
• Communicate with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors for student success.
• Maintain professional skills through meetings, PLCs, coursework, and workshops.
• Integrate technology into instruction and stay current with best practices.
• Perform other duties as needed.
