Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center is seeking a Kindergarten Spanish Immersion Long Term Substitute Teacher for 2026-27. This 1.0 FTE position requires a Minnesota K-6 teaching license or eligibility and native Spanish fluency to support an immersion program.

The teacher will plan, adapt, and deliver lessons using immersion strategies, while maintaining student progress and parent communication. The position is on-site within the Minnetonka district with responsibilities including

Qualifications

• Minnesota K-6 teaching license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Native or near native fluency in Spanish with Advanced ACTFL rating.
• Experience with immersion teaching methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate native or near native fluency in Spanish using ACTFL Advanced level.
• Communicate effectively with parents in English.
• Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum for immersion setting.
• Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain pupil behavior standards and keep timely progress records.
