Job summary

Tierra Encantada in Rochester, MN is seeking a dedicated Float to support Infant classrooms as a full-time, nonexempt teammate. You will help with classroom coverage, center operations, and daily routines from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. Fluency in Spanish and a passion for early childhood education are essential to thrive in our team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• CDA, Food Handling Certification, and/or CPR/First Aid certificate strongly preferred, but not required.
• Early Childhood Education experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with families and co-workers.
• Provide a certificate of completion of an approved pediatric first aid and CPR training within 90 days of hire. Maintain current CPR/ PFA certification at all times.
• Must have respect for diversity and recognize that diversity makes our program better.
• Must be able to complete annual required trainings to ensure high-quality early education.
• Familiarity with childcare licensing requirements, safety protocols, and best practices in early education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ensuring smooth Center operations including covering breaks, absences, and openings; open/close classrooms; clean common areas; assist in kitchen; wash diapers and linens; assist with daily routines; administrative work.
