Job summary

Tierra Encantada in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a full-time Childcare Float to support multiple classrooms and maintain a high-quality learning environment for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. The role requires flexibility to move between rooms and assist as needed to ensure smooth center operations.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish, have strong communication skills with families and staff, and are prepared to complete CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication skills with families and staff.
• Willingness to complete CPR and pediatric first aid training within 90 days of hire.
• Familiarity with childcare licensing requirements and safety protocols.
• Annual required trainings and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with center operations, including breaks, openings/closings, cleaning, and administrative tasks.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms and teaching styles.
• Support curriculum implementation and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere and effective teamwork.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
