Job summary

You will bridge language gaps between Spanish-speaking patients and medical teams, coordinate with interpretation services for other languages, and uphold patient confidentiality while delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS Certification within 30 days of employment.
• Spanish proficiency levels tested prior to completion of employment.
• Ability to translate accurately and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation during designated hours.
• Interpret health care information accurately between Spanish-speaking patients and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Facilitate interpreter services for non-Spanish languages as needed.
• Act as a language liaison between patient, family, and medical team.
